Tucson Electric Power is partnering with Arizona Commercial Lighting to provide busy contractors with an easy way to help their customers save energy and money.

With the Fast Checkout option, commercial customers and contractors can now earn instant rebates on dozens of energy-saving LED products.

Contractors can participate by simply purchasing the discounted lighting supplies they need at Arizona Commercial Lighting. There’s no need to use coupons, file for rebates or become an official TEP Trade Ally to participate.

“It doesn’t make sense to go through a formal process for every job,” said Jessica Vega, TEP Senior Program Manager of Commercial Energy Efficiency Programs and Services. “This makes it so much faster for our contractors and commercial customers to qualify for rebates so they can pass those savings on to customers. It’s a win-win.”

Shari Eberlein, the owner of Arizona Commercial Lighting, said the response has been positive since the launch at the end of October.

“It’s a nice way to get commercial customers involved in energy efficiency efforts,” said Eberlein, whose business has served Tucson’s commercial base for 32 years.

With instant rebates ranging from $2.50 to $190, she said, “The program helps the customer save money, it helps contractors get those jobs and it encourages energy savings overall – which is important for the planet and for all of us.”
