The Insulation Station helps meet education goals using hands-on, group process skills. TEP offers the kit as a free program designed to help students learn about energy efficiency and making wise energy choices, as well as inspiring math skills. It is available to fourth-grade teachers on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The Insulation Station teacher training and classroom kits are available only to schools in the TEP service territory.
The Science Olympiad, a talented and gifted style science competition, has been using Insulation Station kits for more than 10 years.
To assure maximum value from the program, TEP will provide training for teachers.
The laboratory format stresses observation, data collection, graphing skills, analysis of data, homework and concept development. This product promotes visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning modes. Some of the topics covered in the experiments include:
These highly acclaimed, hands-on science/math lessons have been peer reviewed by college education departments, school administrators and thousands of classroom teachers. The experiments in energy, conservation or heat units meet or exceed 21st Century Education goals.

Teachers can receive additional kits through TEP by returning the post-paid Teacher Response Card each year. Kits for classrooms with enrollments up to 35 are also available on request.
