Prairie Fire

Prairie Fire is a 5-megawatt (MW) DC solar facility located in Pima County off Valencia road east of Kolb road in Tucson. SOLON designed and constructed the array. The PV technology used is a crystalline fixed system photovoltaic (PV) module. The plant consists of 17,604 PV panels.
Prairie Fire began providing power to TEP customers in late December 2012. TEP owns and operates this system, and will continue to handle operations, monitoring and maintenance.
