TEP Customer Storage Program Stakeholder Process

Tucson Electric Power is convening stakeholder meetings to discuss issues related to customer-sited battery energy storage programs under guidance provided by the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) as part of new rates approved in August 2023.

As described in ACC Decision No. 79065, TEP will engage with stakeholders to examine a potential Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program that would permit customers to install behind-the-meter (BTM) battery systems. Concurrently, discussions will explore potential revisions to the TEP’s Residential Demand Time-of-Use Tech (R-Tech) and Large General Service TOU Storage Program (LGST-SP) rates.
