Investing in Our Community

Powering Connections

TEP's dedication to service extends beyond providing safe, reliable power. For more than 130 years, we've worked hard to build trust and remained committed to improving the quality of life in the communities we serve. TEP's financial, in-kind and volunteer contributions make a significant, measurable impact in our community. Our contributions are funded with company resources, not with customers' rates.

We focus our philanthropic investments in three specific areas, along with volunteering:

Community Vitality

Environmental Stewardship

Education

Volunteerism

As a company built around a grid that connects us all, we have a unique opportunity to promote a more inclusive community.

Our leaders and employees support a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture at our company. Together with local partners, we share our time, talent and energy to help people overcome barriers and achieve a better quality of life.

We improve the quality of life for elderly, disabled and low-income residents by funding critical home repairs that increase safety and comfort while reducing energy bills. We help protect Arizona's desert ecosystem by working with environmental and wildlife groups and give students opportunities to explore science and the environment in their natural world.

These are just a few examples of our commitment to community engagement. Join us in our efforts!

Community-Heat-Canvasing

In a year when so many funding sources were in flux or threatened, TEP's support of our Heat Relief Initiative was essential. The company's commitment allowed us to continue replacing HVAC systems for low-income families who had nowhere else to turn. In a state facing some of the deadliest summers on record, a failed cooling system can be life-threatening, and most households simply can't absorb that cost. The TEP partnership provided immediate safety and long-term stability for the families we serve.

We assist many nonprofit groups, even outside of our three focus areas, when supported by an engaged employee volunteer.

Customer Assistance

In addition to our philanthropic efforts, we provide several Customer Assistance programs. If you or someone you know is having difficulty paying utility bills or needs assistance with making energy efficiency improvements, TEP can help. We offer discounts for customers with limited incomes, payment extension plans and weatherization assistance to those who qualify.
