TEP Qualified Installer Program
A helpful place to start your solar or storage journey
Choosing an installer for your solar or energy storage system is an important decision. In fact, it’s something customers often ask us about.
To help you get started, we’ve created a list of Qualified Installers who meet specific eligibility criteria. TEP’s Qualified Installers are licensed, bonded, insured, and have experience with TEP’s interconnection process. They can design your system, provide education on savings, explain the function of a solar or energy storage system, and provide safe connections to the grid. While TEP does not endorse or have affiliation with the listed installers, each installer has met our minimum eligibility criteria.
This list is a starting point—not a recommendation. We encourage you to compare options and choose the installer that’s right for you.
“A successful solar project begins long before installation; it begins with informed research. Consumers should never have to rely on guesswork when making an investment as significant as solar. TEP’s Qualified Installer Program and BBB.org help simplify the process by providing trusted information consumers can use to evaluate their options, identify qualified professionals, and select a solar installer with greater confidence.”
— Denisse Alvarez, Vice President/COO, BBB of Southern Arizona

How can I check for scams?
If you are approached by an installer claiming to be a TEP Qualified Installer, it is important to verify their claim. Qualified Installers have been authorized to use TEP’s program logo, but other companies may attempt to use it for the purpose of scams. Always check the Qualified Installer list, or call our Customer Care Team at 520-623-7711 to verify an installer is truly a Qualified Installer, especially before signing any agreements.
