Volunteers with bags collecting food

Look for our employees wearing blue TEP volunteer shirts and driving TEP vehicles in your neighborhood on Saturday, May 11, to collect food for the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

TEP is the local sponsor for this annual nationwide food drive organized by the National Association of Letter Carriers. TEP volunteers will work several mail routes to collect nonperishable food left by mailboxes by postal customers.

“We hope to have up to 30 TEP employee volunteers help with this event,” said TEP’s Julie Gomez, our volunteer coordinator for this food drive. “Our employees will work in shifts from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. that day to help the post office collect food items.”

You can join us by supporting this food drive. Set out nonperishable food items in a bag by your mailbox before your regular mail service on May 11 to help your local neighbors in need.

All of the food collected from the drive will be donated to the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, which distributes food to hungry residents and other food banks in the area.
