Businesses can get bigger savings on energy-efficient equipment for a limited time.

TEP is offering a 25 percent increase on our rebates, on top of our typical discounts, for workplace upgrades ranging from LED lighting to HVAC systems. Projects must be completed by Oct. 31 to qualify for the larger discounts.

“These rebates make upgrades more affordable and offset some of the upfront costs of installing new equipment. This will help more businesses take valuable steps to improve their workplaces,” said Edith Garcia, Senior Program Manager for Energy Efficiency Programs and Services. “In the long run, businesses will be able to save even more on energy costs through their new upgrades.”

Through our Business Energy Solutions Program, a wide range of projects qualify for the rebates, including refrigeration, motors and exhaust systems. See a full list of applicable rebates.

One business that is taking advantage of the promotion is Undisputed South, a Green Valley gym for jiu jitsu, kickboxing and boxing. Co-owner Matt Blank is moving to a larger location, and he wanted to update all lighting in the 5,600-square-foot space. He’s grateful for the rebates on the energy-efficient fixtures.

“The more support we can get to help us out, the better, because it’s a lot of capital upfront,” Blank said, adding that he is hoping to stay in the new spot for at least a decade. “We’re looking for that long-term savings.”

To qualify for the promotion, projects must be completed by a TEP-approved commercial contractor.

“We’re supporting economic development in our community through this program, which enhances the quality of workplaces for both employees and customers,” Garcia said.
