TEP honored the significant economic influence of nonprofit organizations in our community during the Tucson Metro Chamber’s Copper Cactus Awards on Sept. 13.

Among the categories, our company sponsored the Tucson Electric Power Social Impact awards to honor nonprofit organizations, which employ many workers and support other local businesses through their causes and efforts.

Tara Barrera, TEP Community Program Coordinator who was a contest judge, presented the two Social Impact awards at this year’s ceremony. The winners were:

Eight organizations total – four in each subcategory – were finalists for the Social Impact awards.
