Want to install EV chargers at your business but not sure where to start? We’re making it easier for businesses to install electric vehicle chargers for their fleets, employees and customers.

TEP has contracted with Qmerit, a leading provider of electrification technologies, to provide turnkey EV charger installation services for TEP customers, taking the hassle out of managing a project. This service is available at varying costs to businesses, nonprofit organizations, schools and government agencies, depending on the complexity of the project.

“As more EVs come onto the road, it opens new opportunities for businesses and nonprofit organizations of all types to engage their customers, employees, and stakeholders while contributing to a better community,” said Bianca Sloma, Qmerit’s Vice President for Utility Solutions.  “We are excited to partner with TEP to help their commercial customers realize these benefits.”

Business customers should start by looking to see if their project qualifies for rebates through TEP’s Smart EV Charging Program. Then, customers can fill out a form to express interest in installation services.

From there, Qmerit will schedule an in-person or digital assessment before working with installers to provide a proposal with design and costs. Once approved, Qmerit can manage the project from beginning to end. See the process here.

“We are looking forward to providing our customers with the option of seamless, turnkey EV charging installation services,” said Gabby Abou-Zeid, TEP’s Transportation Electrification Program Manager. “Qmerit shares our vision of making it easier for local businesses to enjoy the benefits of electrification, and they complement the financial support we offer through our existing programs.”
